Keeping with the topic of remembering where you come from, this saw is about remembering those who have given to you and giving back to them.
Over the years my parents and I have gone to some Wild Game Feed events in southern Minnesota. When I say wild game I mean wild animals not Minnesota Wild Hockey. For non-huntingish people I have had to clarify this a lot. Wild Game Feeds are eating events where you eat game meat, have auctions, raffles, and socialize. We have been to big ones that donate profits to charity, the raffles and auctions are of guns, 4-wheelers, and larger hunting/fishing related items. Also we have been to our more local ones that are on a smaller scale, still sells raffle tickets for guns and does auctions items from local businesses. The main local feed we go to is in Stewartville where my grandparents live. My dad would go with my grandpa, play cards, and have fun. Now I go with my dad, my hunting buddy.
In the last few years between the raffles and auctions we have won a few times. Last year in particular I would a Sig Sauer p280 9mm handgun, it’s a little big for my hand so I wish I would have gotten the compact, but I didn’t know that at the time. It was my very first handgun. Another person we knew also won last year. It was a good event for us. Since this Wild Game Feed is in the town my grandparents live in, helps the senior class at the local high school, and supports the auction items from local people.
This year, I am donating an item.
Pheasants. They are a Sportsman’s Club that does shooting but also is involved in raising pheasants to be released into the wild. I figured this would be an appropriate saw that a majority of people would like.
I hope it goes over well and that they like it.
